Dalby UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 2010: round one
Title: Dalby UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 2010: round one
Location: Dalby Forest, Yorkshire
Description: Dalby Forest in Yorkshire is to host Round One of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 2010 on 23-25 April. Top class racing, spectating and participation rides will be the highlights of the weekend!
# Distance: 30km
# Course: Ride one full loop of the Official World Cup course, then off out onto the rest of the Dalby Dare course, taking in a selection of the fabulous trails that Dalby Forest has to offer before returning to the World Cup course. You get to ride everything the pro’s do, and a good chunk of what they don’t. What’s not to like?!
# Terrain: Built to test the best, Dalby Dare is a course built on black grade trails, hard enough to test the endurance of the best in the world, tricky enough to make hardened professionals take the chicken run on some descents. It’s been rated as one of the best world cup courses ever by the UK mountain bike press. So be one of the first to take on the challenge.
# Dalby Dare training: The course is open for practice on Friday 23 April from 2pm to 4pm. Please note: There will be no practice time on challenge day as the World Cup course will be in use for the Junior rounds of the World Cup on Saturday Morning. Riders practising on the course outside of the set practice time will have their entry revoked.
# Registration times:
Friday 23rd April: 12pm – 4pm
Saturday 24th April: 12pm – 2pm
Please allow time to sign on before the event, pick up your number board and timing chip.
# Helmets: No helmet means no ride, with no exceptions!
# Cost: £32 – this includes:
* a weekend spectator entry pass into the UCI Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup,
* a goodie bag full of exciting samples and goodies
* a Dalby Dare official T-shirt
* and the chance to ride the Official World Cup course and be timed against the best MTB XCO riders in the world!
